Your versatile Avocado Cream Sauce recipe!

This beautiful green sauce is not only incredibly healthy (hello healthy fats and fiber!), but it’s also a breeze to put together and very versatile.  The sauce can be paired with a seared white fish, incorporated into plain pasta, served with a side of chips, or when thinned out (use water or olive oil) can be made into a salad dressing.

This recipe can be doubled or tripled and last in the fridge for a few days.  Blend it up and add it to a mason jar with a tight lid.

 

 

 

Ingredients

  • 2 large avocados, remove seed and dice 
  • Juice of 3 limes, about 3 tbsp
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic, chopped fine 
  • ½ Serrano pepper, chopped, remove seeds
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • Start with 1/2 cup of water and add more until your desired thickness 

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and mix until you have a smooth result
    * Too thin out the sauce, add a touch more water

Recipe Notes

You’ll want to add the Serrano pepper per your taste for spice.  If serving younger children, it might be best to eliminate the pepper all together.  You can also thin-out the sauce by adding water or oil and use it as a salad dressing.
