Baked Tacos with Shrimp! We didn’t think tacos could get any better, until we tried baked tacos in the oven, that turn out crispy on the outside, shrimp seasoned perfectly on the inside and lots of ooey-gooey cheese! This recipe can be adjusted in so many ways and served as an appetizer or meal.
If you find your tortillas are cracking or ripping, pop them into the microwave for 20 seconds before you start the first step of assembling.
We have to say these are pretty dang kid-friendly as well. And easy to make a batch where a few are simplified for the kiddos, and dressed up more for the adults.
The key to great shrimp is to cook them with the tails on, and once complete, remove and discard the tails. The tails add an extra salty layer of flavor when cooked. Also, shrimp cooks quickly, so be sure to only cook your shrimp 2-3 minutes per side. This will achieve a perfect dish.
Shrimp is incredibly versatile and can be seared, speared for a kabob, and boiled. It packs a serious punch of vitamins and minerals including selenium, choline, and vitamin B12. It also contains good amounts of niacin, zinc, vitamin E, and vitamin B6. What’s more, shrimp contain antioxidants like astaxanthin, which reduces inflammation.
