Blackened Mahi Sandwiches with Lemon Truffle Aioli

You will need (4) 6 oz. portions of Fish Fixe Mahi
For the blackening seasoning: 
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika 
  • 2 tsp brown sugar 
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt 
  • 1 1/2 tsp cumin 
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper 
For the lemon aioli:
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice 
  • 1/2 tsp white truffle oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper 
For the sandwiches:
  • 4-6 rolls
  • Avocado slices
  • Red onion slices
  • Arugula 


  1. Prepare Fish Fixe Mahi by thawing and drying thoroughly with a paper towel
  2. Cut Mahi fillet into uniform 1 in x 2 in pieces
  3. Dry thoroughly again with a paper towel then coat all sides with blackening seasoning  
  4. Bring the pan to medium-high heat and coat with avocado oil 
  5. Place Mahi in the pan and cook on all sides for about 1-2 minutes on each side  
  6. Remove from the pan and set aside  
  7. Prepare sandwiches by coating the inside of the roll with aioli then adding fish, avocado slices, red onion, and arugula
  8. Serve immediately
