Fish Fixe Kitchen Original: Serves 2-3 people // Ready in 25 minutes
Blackened Shrimp Tacos with Chipotle Lime Slaw
The world of social media has a way of coining phrases such as "Taco Tuesday." We salute the effort, but here in Texas we know that tacos aren't just for Tuesdays. Tacos are for breakfast, lunch or dinner any day or night of the week! We caught a craving, so we headed to the Fish Fixe Kitchen and tossed our wild caught gulf shrimp in a spicy chili rub and seared them in a hot pan with a dab of ghee butter. O-M-GHEE they were amazing.
Here is what you will need:
- 12-16 oz. Gulf Shrimp (16-25 count)
- Fish Fixe Blackening Blend (1 tbsp. Chili powder, 1 tbsp. Cumin, ½ tsp. Paprika, ½ tsp. Cayenne, ½ tsp. Ground black pepper, ½ tsp. Granulated garlic, ½ tsp. Salt, ½ tsp. Granulated onion, ¼ tsp. Celery salt)
- 2 tablespoons ghee (or other high temp oil)
- 8 oz. bag of chopped cabbage
- ½ cup Mayonnaise
- ½ cup Sour Cream
- ¼ cup Chipotle Tabasco Sauce
- 3-4 limes
- 10-12 hard or soft tacos
- Taco Fixins of choice - chopped avocado, corn salsa, cherry tomatoes, queso fresco
