Seared Salmon over Spicy Miso Soup

Fish Fixe Kitchen Original: Serves 2-3 people // Ready in 25 minutes
Winter is in full swing and it's time to warm up over a hot bowl of Miso Soup topped with one of nature's premium proteins - Salmon!

Here is what you will need:


  • (4) 6 oz. portions salmon
  • 8 cups of water plus 2 tbsp. hot water
  • 1/2 cup chopped nori (dried seaweed)
  • 8 tbsp. of miso (yellow or red)
  • 1 cup of green onion
  • 1 cup of baby bok choy (or other sturdy green)
  • ½ cup sliced mushrooms or ¼ cup dried
  • ¼ cup bean sprouts (optional)
  • ¼ cup firm tofu (optional)
  • 1-2 tbsp. Chili garlic (optional)
  • Sesame seeds
  • 1 lb. Asian vermicelli (prepared per package)
  • Pro Tip: Stir in your miso mixture after the soup has been removed from heat.  Adding the miso to boiling (or too hot) of a liquid will kill the beneficial probiotics found in miso.
