The Kickin’ Crab + Corn Dip includes Maryland crab from the Chesapeake Bay and makes for an easy yet filling appetizer.  It’s served hot out of the oven and is extra creamy thanks to the cream cheese. Serve with toasted Sour Dough or another crunchy vessel to hold this hearty dip.

Our Maryland Crab Cakes are a Fish Fixe Family favorite.  They are handmade (with extra love) and often fly off our shelves.  While many add our Crab Cakes on top of a bed of lettuce, others break it down for fried rice or even 2″ balls to dip in a sauce as an appetizer.  We love to see how our customers work with our Crab Cakes.  Email us your recipe:



You will need (1) portion of Fish Fixe Crab Cakes

  • 1 jalapeño, finely diced
  • 1 1/2 c corn – fresh or frozen 
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1.5 tsp Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning or any creole/cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 c Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 green onion, diced
  • Parmesan cheese


  1. Thaw and prep the Fish Fixe Crab Cakes per the package
  2. Bring a pan to medium heat 
  3. Add in the corn and jalapeños and sauté 
  4. Sprinkle with Creole Seasoning 
  5. Add 4 ounces cream cheese 
  6. Combine all ingredients using a wooden spoon
  7. Combine until cream cheese is soft and add in the 2 Crab Cakes
  8. Break down the Crab Cakes with your spoon, and continue to combine 
  9. Add in Greek yogurt 
  10. Keep combining until all ingredients are uniformly combined 
  11. Top with green onion and Parmesan cheese
  12. Serve with toasted Sour Dough slices
