Lemon Pep Cobia is effortless.  If one of your talents in the kitchen includes seasoning, this recipe is for you!

The Citrus One spice blend is one of four new blends to hit our shop and make your job in the kitchen even easier. These four new flavor palettes are incredibly versatile – from steak to potatoes to even pizza dough.  We promise they will quickly become a staple in your cooking toolbox.

If you’ve purchased the Citrus One Spice Blend, you’ll just need to liberally season both sides of the fish, and toss it in the oven.  The result – a tender citrus filet with a bit of a pepper kick! Serve it alongside roasted potatoes and green beans for a complete meal.

We will spare you the food chemistry lesson, but in our efforts to add more spice blends to the Fish Fixe lineup, we faced a significant challenge of doing that without adding any yucky, undesirable, or hidden ingredients.

Crafted in small batches, these natural blends include all organic ingredients. This means there are:

Ingredients

You will need (2) 6-ounce portions of Cobia

  • The Citrus One spice blend by Fish Fixe (alternative: salt, pepper, lemon zest, garlic powder)
  • Lemon slices
  • Olive oil or avocado oil
  • French Green beans, trimmed
  • Yukon gold potatoes, diced into quarter sized pieces

Directions

  1. Thaw and prep the Fish Fixe Cobia according to package instructions
  2. Pre-heat oven to 400º
  3. Season both sides of the Fish Fixe Cobia with The Citrus One and set aside
  4.  Coat the potatoes in olive oil, followed by The Citrus One or simply salt and pepper
  5. Apply olive oil to the green beans and season with The Citrus One or simply salt and pepper
  6. Add the potatoes to a separate sheet pan and bake in the oven for 15 – 20 minutes until golden brown
  7. Add the cobia to a sheet pan, on top of sliced lemons.
  8. Surround the cobia with green beans and bake in the oven for 12 minutes
  9. Remove from the oven, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the Cobia and serve!

Recipe Notes

You’ll want to note that the Lemon Pep blend includes the work “pep” for a reason.  Season lightly if pepper isn’t a top spice for you.
