Marry Me Seafood Pasta

Have you heard of the trending Marry Me Ch*cken recipe?  There’s a reason it’s so popular; the sauce is worthy of a proposal.  But we’re not huge fans of that land protein around here, so we’re making the same recipe but swapping the proteins for shrimp and haddock.  You’re going to love it!

For added flavor, add pancetta or bacon when you add onion to your pan. You can also make Marry Me Seafood Pasta with scallops.

Don’t snooze on this recipe!


  • (2) 6 ounce portions of Fish Fixe Shrimp
  • (1) 6 ounce portion of Fish Fixe Haddock
  • 1 small white onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 – 2 tsp  tbsp tomato paste
  • 3/4 c half + half (room temp)
  • 1 pound of pasta of your choice (amount of pasta is up to you!)
  • 1/2 c reserved pasta water
  • 1/2 grated parmesan (fresh is best)
  • 1/4 c sundried tomato in oil, sliced
  • 1/3 c fresh basil, sliced finely
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Olive Oil (we love Graza!)
  • Butter
  • Sea Salt
  • Fish Fixe Original Seasoning (sub with salt + pepper)




  1. Take the Half + Half out of the fridge and bring to room temperature
  2. Thaw and prep the Fish Fixe Haddock and Shrimp according to the package instructions
  3. Pat both reely dry with a paper towel
  4. Season both sides of the Haddock and Shrimp with Fish Fixe Original Seasoning (or simply, salt and pepper)
  5. Cook your pasta according to package instructions
  6. Prepare all ingredients – slice the onion, mince the garlic, slice the sundried tomato, chop the fresh basil and grate the parmesan cheese
  7. Add olive oil to a cast iron pan and bring to high heat
  8. Add onions, and cook down a bit*
  9. After they’ve cooked down, move the onions to the perimeter of the pan and add 1 tbsp of butter and swirl it around
  10. Add the shrimp to the pan, spreading them out evenly, cook 2-3 minutes per side and remove from pan
  11. Add the haddock and cook 3-4 minutes per side and remove from heat. Onions will remain
  12. Add another tbsp of butter, 1/2 tbsp olive oil, stir
  13. Add in chopped garlic and turn down heat to medium/high
  14. You’ll begin to smell all the flavors
  15. Add the tomato paste. Start with 1.5 tbsp and stir in more for desired thickness
  16. Add 1/2 c of pasta water
  17. Add 3/4 c of Half + Half
  18. Stir all the ingredients together
  19. Add in the oregano, red pepper and thyme
  20. Add 1/4 tsp of salt, more if desired
  21. Stir in the sundried tomatoes with the oil
  22. Turn down the heat to a simmer and add the parmesan cheese, along with shredded basil
  23. Place the shrimp and haddock back into the sauce, nestling it within
  24. Break the haddock up with the back of your spoon. It will naturally flake apart
  25. Add your desired amount of parmesan to finish off the dish
  26. Enjoy!
