Pecan Crusted Cajun Cobia with Green Beans

One pan pecan crusted cajun cobia recipe?  If you’re feeling like home-style southern cooking this easy-to-follow, all on one pan dish is for you!

Cobia makes us think of lazy days spent on the bay, boating, sunning and being with family.  But we’re bringing you a healthier version of the Cobia you probably grew up eating, pecan and Parmesan crusted.  We promise this will make its way to the top of your favorite recipes.




You will need (2) 6 oz. portions of Fish Fixe Cobia

  • 1 c crushed pecans
  • ¼ c shredded parmesan cheese
  • 2.5 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp Tony Chachere’s
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onion 
  • ½ tsp dried oregano 
  • ½ tsp dried basil 
  • 1 tsp honey 
  • Sliced Lemons
  • Chopped green onions


  1. Prepare Fish Fixe Cobia by thawing and drying thoroughly with a paper towel 
  2. Season with sea salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides and set aside
  3. Preheat oven to 425º
  4. Slice a lemon horizontally into at least 6 slices
  5. If you need to crush pecans, place them in a ziplock bag and pound until crushed
  6. Mix lemon juice, olive oil, Tony Chachere’s, green onion, oregano, basil, and honey in a bowl, and then add crushed pecans and parmesan. Set aside.  
  7. Drizzle baking pan with olive oil and arrange sliced lemon along the bottom
  8. Place Cobia on top of lemon slices
  9. Add your pecan crusting to the top of the Cobia
  10. Toss green beans in olive oil and garlic salt and arrange around Cobia
  11. Bake for 15 – 17 minutes
  12. Remove from oven and serve warm!

Recipe Notes

Serve over mashed sweet potatoes or roasted butternut squash puree. A side with a hint of sweetness will balance out the salty, spicy, savory flavor of the fish.
