Sashimi Style Cobia paired with a spicy ponzu sauce is an impressive little appetizer that can be whipped up in a matter of minutes.  You’ll need a sharp knife to ensure the cobia is sliced thin enough.

Cobia is a very versatile fish; it can be grilled or eaten raw as sushi or sashimi, and it’s rich in Omega-3s and other vitamins and nutrients.  Our Fish Fixe Family loves it and it shows by how fast it flies from our freezers.

It is firm, yet flaky, mild sashimi-grade white fish that can be sliced extra thin, grilled or pan seared with ease. Our Cobia is an excellent, ocean raised seafood protein that supports sustainability and betters our oceans for tomorrow.


You will need (1) 6 oz portion of Fish Fixe Cobia 

  • 1/4 c ponzu sauce
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 Serrano pepper diced thinly
  • Zest of 1 lemon


  1. Add sliced Cobia to a plate
  2. Mix together ponzu sauce and toasted sesame oil and pour over Cobia
  3. Grate lemon and sprinkle over fish, along with chopped pepper
  4. Serve and enjoy!
